Junior Architect – Brooklyn, NY

Guerin Glass Architects is currently seeking a Junior Architect in our Brooklyn office.

Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Architecture and a minimum of 2 years of office experience. They should have comprehensive design and documentation skills and be able to demonstrate a background in a range of project types.
The successful candidate will be a resourceful multi-tasker with excellent communication skills. Guerin Glass Architects strives to provide excellent opportunities for individuals to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment where personal growth is encouraged.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Assisting throughout the project lifecycle by:

o Researching for design concept and precedent
o Assembling presentation documentation for project and client meetings
o Including physical models and 3D renderings as needed
o Researching building materials, construction techniques, and building codes
o Assisting with design development and production of construction documents
o Coordinating with outside consultants
o Including review of shop drawings to ensure quality control and compliance with design intent
o Facilitating overall team communication by maintaining office standards

Software Requirements:

- Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
- Must have experience in Microsoft Office, BluBeam Revu, and Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
- Experience in Rhino, V Ray, and/or Sketchup are a plus

Intermediate Architect - Brooklyn, NY

Guerin Glass Architects is currently seeking an Intermediate Architect to join our team.

Candidates must have a professional degree in Architecture and 5+ years of architectural experience. They should have comprehensive design and documentation skills and be able to demonstrate experience in a wide range of project types, including hospitality, commercial, and residential design. The successful candidate will have extensive experience communicating and building relationships with clients, contractors, and technical consultants.

Responsibilities:

Applicants should be ready to demonstrate both experience and comfort level jumping into a project at any phase. The role will include the following specific responsibilities and will expand with firm experience.

- Collaborating with and assisting senior staff throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, from schematic design through construction administration. This will include:

o Field observation and surveying
o Design and planning
o Coordination of team members and delegation of responsibilities
o Client and Consultant Interface
o Document Coordination
o Construction Detailing
o Quality Control (including review of all engineering and shop drawings to ensure compliance)

Requirements:
