Brendan Guerin is a founder of Guerin Glass Architects and brings to the practice extensive experience in a broad range of project types and scale. Since graduating, Brendan has gained experience in all aspects of the profession including: residential design/ build, furniture and product design, commercial/residential development, K-12 and higher education, research technology, health care and master planning. Through the diversity of his experience, Brendan has come to believe that the most successful projects are the result of a highly collaborative design process. To this end, he is committed to the production of architecture that is derived from a highly interactive discourse between architect, client, consultants and builders. Prior to forming Guerin Glass Architects, Brendan was a project manager for Rafael Vinoly Architects and most recently was the Senior Project Designer for the New York office of Perkins & Will.
Founding Principal Scott Glass has been involved in the design and building professions on multiple levels from an early age. Prior to forming Guerin Glass Architects, he had been working at Rafael Vinoly Architects as the project lead on the expansion of the Cleveland Museum of Art. Scott was a founding partner at BDDW, Inc., a design, manufacturing and retail firm focused on highly crafted installations and furniture. Previously, he worked at Rogers Marvel Architects - where he was project architect for a number of intricately designed residential and institutional projects.
Starting his career as a design architect in Washington DC with The Lessard Group, Shawn managed the architectural side of construction on commercial, retail and residential works. With a move to New York City in 2000, Shawn worked at Perkins + Will Architects, where he advanced to become one of the firm’s technical leads. After working in their K-12 and Higher education studios for nearly 7 years, Shawn joined Guerin Glass Architects in 2007 as technical director and senior project manager.
Shawn, with Scott Glass and Brendan Guerin, founded Composite Fabrication + Construction in 2010. Shawn is responsible for the management of CF+C and the technical direction of GGA – unifying design and construction and allowing both companies to experiment with construction techniques, implement sustainable practices and research methodologies and integrate knowledge into the work of both companies.
Mike House is an architect, builder and native New Yorker with a deep interest in the urban built environment. He began his career as a laborer and carpenter, renovating abandoned buildings on the Lower East Side as part of the area’s homestead movement.
Mike joined Guerin Glass Architects in 2019 to lead Composite, the firm’s construction and fabrication affiliate. As a Senior Project Manager, he oversees every aspect of GGA’s work on the East Coast—from the initial design concept through the final stages of implementation. He specializes in construction project management and administration, cost analysis and quality control for residential projects in NYC, Long Island and the Hudson Valley.
Prior to joining GGA, Mike was a Partner and Studio Director at Raad Studio. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the Pratt Institute and is a registered architect.
